- Litigation
- L.A. v. Braun, No. 1:25-cv-00596-MPB-TAB (S.D. Ind.): a putative class action challenging EO 25-36 as the state health department applies it to birth-certificate sex-marker changes. The court denied a preliminary injunction on Sept. 26, 2025 (Dkt. 103), so the order is not blocked. A news headline reports an appeal to the Seventh Circuit, but I did not check its status.

Researched from primary sources
Trans Data Initiative research. Researched from primary sources (enacted text, the code on official sites, executive orders, court orders), starting from the Trans Data Initiative legislation tracker's bills. Each determination was checked independently by a second researcher; disputes were settled by a third review. No other tracker's descriptions were used.
A record is what a source reported on the date it was captured, not a legal effective date. An unobserved record is not a finding that no restrictions exist.
