Summary

Amends 32 CFR 935.3(d), the definitions section of the Wake Island Code, to replace "gender" with "sex." The revised provision reads: "He or his includes both the male and female sexes, unless the context implies otherwise." The preamble states the amendment implements Executive Order 14168 by removing language that "promotes or otherwise inculcates gender ideology." Effective on publication; the Air Force determined that "publication of this CFR amendment for public comment is unnecessary because the amendment is an administrative change." The provision governs a single unincorporated Pacific island territory with no permanent civilian population, which makes the absence of any operational rationale especially plain.
