HHS issued the final version of the May 1 review, adding a 241-page supplement containing nine external peer reviews (including from the American Psychiatric Association) with HHS responses, and naming the nine contributors for the first time. The final release preserved the core conclusions (low-quality evidence; skepticism of pediatric medical transition) and was published weeks before HHS cited it in the December 2025 declaration and proposed rules.

Status

Current edition of the report; cited as the evidentiary basis of the December 2025-August 2026 rulemakings.
