A bill to be entitled

An act relating to marriage equality; repealing s.

741.212, F.S., relating to marriages between persons

of the same sex; removing a prohibition on the

recognition of marriages entered into between persons
5
of the same sex in this state, another state, or
6
another jurisdiction, either domestic or foreign;
7
removing a prohibition on giving effect to any public
8
act, record, or judicial proceeding of another
9
jurisdiction respecting a marriage or relationship not
10
recognized in this state or a claim arising from such
11
a marriage or relationship; removing the definition of
12
the term "marriage," which limits marriage only to a
13
legal union between one man and one woman; providing
14
an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

Section 1. Section 741.212, Florida Statutes, is repealed.

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
