Summary

DOJ announced an agreement under which Connecticut Children's Medical Center — which had already paused new pediatric gender-affirming prescriptions in July 2025 amid federal pressure — agreed to stop providing gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth, resolving DOJ allegations the hospital denies. GLAD Law and Connecticut advocates characterized the settlement as capitulation to federal coercion, noting no federal law prohibits the care. The deal followed the Cleveland Clinic template (see 2026-06-08). (See also sections 2 and 13.)
