Verification note. Question wording and Total percentages copied from the January 2025 topline PDF (page 15, POLICIES2). The two 'oppose' sub-columns in this particular AP-NORC topline are headed 'Strongly oppose' then 'Somewhat oppose', the reverse of the order AP-NORC uses in every other topline checked, and the pattern of values across items (e.g. Jan 6 pardons: NET oppose 60 = 11 + 50) strongly suggests the header labels are transposed. Only the NET oppose figure is recorded here; the 11/34 split is deliberately not assigned to a label. Margin of error and response rate were not pulled from this PDF.

Figures below are transcribed from these documents. Where they disagree with the source, the source governs.

Wording notes: stem explains what Title IX does, which supplies a pro-protection frame | restrictive-direction stem: 'favor' is the restrictive answer | asked in a battery of eight incoming-Trump-administration policies

tilts_affirming — the appended clause describing Title IX as prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender gives respondents a reason to oppose elimination that has no counterweight in the stem
