Verification note. Wording and percentages taken from the 'For reference [9-12 Oct 22]' block printed inside Fox's own April 21-24, 2023 complete national topline. This October 2022 fielding used a two-point problem/not-a-problem scale rather than the three-point major/minor scale, so it is a distinct trend series. The original October 2022 release PDF was not retrieved, so sample size, MOE and release date are unconfirmed for this fielding.

whether 'overly accommodating transgender policies' in public schools is a problem

Thinking about public schools, would you say each of the following is a problem or not a problem?[RANDOMIZE] ... Overly accommodating transgender policies

Wording notes: presupposes that transgender school policies could be 'overly accommodating' | binary problem/not-a-problem scale with no intensity gradation | no counterpart item asking whether schools are insufficiently accommodating

tilts_restrictive — Same embedded premise as the three-point version: the stimulus is 'overly accommodating' policies, so the respondent is not offered a way to say schools are not accommodating enough. Collapsing to a two-point scale inflates the 'problem' share relative to the major/minor version fielded before and after it (60% here versus 44% major in Oct 2021 and 48% major in Apr 2023).
