Verification note. GENDERID wording and the four-point distribution read directly from the Goucher Poll release PDF (survey-results section). The release itself publishes no crosstabs ('additional crosstabs available upon request'); the party breaks recorded here are the collapsed favor/oppose figures reported in the HuffPost write-up of the same release (Republicans 60-27, Democrats 79-15, independents 68-23), so they are tagged to that secondary source rather than a Goucher crosstab file. This release is not linked from Goucher's own archived-polls index - the Spring 2014 'Release #1' link there points at a 2013 file - and the PDF was recovered by guessing the filename.
Figures below are transcribed from these documents. Where they disagree with the source, the source governs.
adding gender identity to Maryland's employment, housing and public accommodation anti-discrimination laws (Fairness for All Marylanders Act)
Finally, I'm going to ask you about some of the issues being discussed in Annapolis.
As you may have heard, the Maryland state legislature is considering a bill that would prohibit discrimination based on gender identity in matters of employment, housing, and public accommodation. This would mainly affect transgender individuals-people who self-identify as a gender different from their sex assigned at birth. That being said, do you [support or oppose] including gender identity in the state's anti-discrimination laws? PROBE
Wording notes: supplies an explanatory definition of 'transgender individuals' before asking | support/oppose order is bracketed and rotated | intensity captured by a follow-up probe rather than a read four-point scale
neutral — the stem states the bill's actual coverage and defines the affected group in neutral, self-identification terms; the support/oppose pair is rotated and no argument for either side is supplied
