To what extent do your support or oppose the following policies? Banning transgender girls and women from participating in female sports events in schools and colleges
Wording notes: no 'don't know' or 'not sure' option - same design as the February 2025 fielding, so the trend comparison is internally consistent even though the level is inflated relative to items that do offer one | restrictive polarity | by April 2026 the policy is long-established federal policy rather than a fresh executive order, so the partisan cue is settled
tilts_restrictive — Same missing don't-know as February 2025: respondents with no view are forced to a side, and the restrictive option is the status-quo federal policy by this point. The item is nonetheless valuable as a fixed-wording, fixed-panel trend point. The battery pairing is itself informative - the same respondents who back the trans sports ban 67-29 reject ending birthright citizenship 32-64, so this is not simply generalized support for administration policy.
