Morning Consult
Morning Consult National Tracking Poll #2204123 (LGBTQ in the Classroom) · Apr 20–23, 2022 · US national
Data flag. RECORDED VALUE WAS WRONG. Morning Consult's article states '+/-2 percentage points' for the n=4,410 full adult sample; the record said 1.00, which is below the simple-random floor of 1.48 and is not what the source says. | see above

Verification note. Wording, topline and PID crosstabs for Table MCWA6_6 read directly from the crosstabulation PDF (n=4410 adults). The two parent_status rows are the net support and net oppose figures reported in the Morning Consult article for its 1,109-parent subsample, not read off the PDF, and are therefore nets rather than four-point shares. The eleven-item MCWA8 battery in the same study asks about LGBTQ people as a single category and is out of scope.

Do you support or oppose the following topics being taught or discussed in K-12 schools? Sexual orientation and gender identity
Wording notes: no grade level or age qualifier within K-12, unlike the Florida bill items that specify K-3 | bundles sexual orientation with gender identity | asked inside a battery that also covers evolution, religion, vaccination and the history of slavery, which sets a curriculum-topics frame rather than a culture-war frame
neutral — plainly worded and symmetric; embedding it among ordinary curriculum topics is a design choice that arguably lowers the temperature relative to items that name a bill or a politician
